For TECSES to carry out activities effectively, we need a clear picture of the education situation in Karnali. To do this, we use existing data, but we also collect our own. This helps us make sure the information we use is specific to our project and the areas we work in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recently completed our baseline data collection. In total, we surveyed 336 teachers and 19 teacher trainers in TECSES\u2019s target municipalities<\/a>. The data was gathered by trained enumerators, many of whom traveled long distances into rural areas to reach the schools and teachers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Teachers were randomly selected from our target local governments to make sure the data is fair and representative. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Baseline data is very important for TECSES. It helps us measure the impact of our work and ensures that our actions are based on research and relevant data.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s next? TECSES will conduct Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews, and classroom observations in the target municipalities and schools. These activities will help us build on the baseline data and gain deeper insights into the actual needs of schools and teachers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
