To do this, we use existing data, but we also collect our own. This helps us make sure the information we use is specific to our project and the areas we work in.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recently completed our baseline data collection. In total, we surveyed 336 teachers and 19 teacher trainers in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tecses.org\/np\/local-level-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"TECSES\u2019s target municipalities\">TECSES\u2019s target municipalities<\/a>. The data was gathered by trained enumerators, many of whom traveled long distances into rural areas to reach the schools and teachers.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers were randomly selected from our target local governments to make sure the data is fair and representative.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Baseline data is very important for TECSES. It helps us measure the impact of our work and ensures that our actions are based on research and relevant data.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s next? TECSES will conduct Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews, and classroom observations in the target municipalities and schools.
