{"id":641,"date":"2026-04-13T11:20:01","date_gmt":"2026-04-13T05:35:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tecses.org\/?p=641"},"modified":"2026-04-13T16:35:58","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T10:50:58","slug":"high-level-and-local-stakeholders-come-together-to-plan-at-tecses-kick-off-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tecses.org\/np\/news\/high-level-and-local-stakeholders-come-together-to-plan-at-tecses-kick-off-events\/","title":{"rendered":"High-level and local stakeholders come together to plan at TECSES kick-off events"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TECSES held kick-off workshops in Madhesh and&nbsp;Sudurpaschim&nbsp;Provinces to engage provincial and local stakeholders in the project\u2019s activities, marking&nbsp;an important step&nbsp;in strengthening Nepal\u2019s education sector.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In\u00a0Sudurpaschim, the project was launched by the Honorable Minister of Social Development, <strong>Megh Raj Khadka<\/strong>, and Secretary <strong>Dr. Hem Raj Regmi<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Madhesh, the launch was led by the Minister of Education and Culture, <strong>Rani Kumari Tiwari<\/strong>, together with Joint Secretary <strong>Shiva Sapkota <\/strong>from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In both provinces, TECSES works closely with key partners such as provincial ministries, education directorates, training&nbsp;centres, and local governments. In&nbsp;Sudurpaschim, the project collaborates with nine local governments and Far Western University to support the development of a bachelor-level teacher education&nbsp;programme. In Madhesh, TECSES partners with eight local governments and Madhesh University to launch a diploma-level&nbsp;programme.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through these partnerships, TECSES aims to strengthen teacher education and support long-term, coordinated development of the education system with strong local ownership.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Karnali, TECSES has already made\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tecses.org\/np\/local-level-work\/\" title=\"\">good progress<\/a>. The project has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tecses.org\/np\/news\/strengthening-schools-in-karnali-through-school-improvement-plans\/\" title=\"\">supported School Improvement Plans<\/a> at the local level and worked closely with school communities. Pedagogical Resource Persons (PRPs) have been recruited and are supporting teachers\u2019 professional development based on their needs.
